Why I'm Thankful I Could Iron...

1. my kids were quiet and sleeping
2. I could think about our weekend
3. I got to reflect all dear family and friends that make me feel loved
4. when I finished, I had 2 voice mails of "just calling to say Hi!"
5. my hands and feet work and are useful even for mundane tasks
6. my hubby has a job ...thus the ironing
7. I have a laundry room, including heat and appliances that work
8. I could use my Gramma's ironing board
9. I have running water that I could use to steam the clothes
10. I could pray for my family and our baby in the quietness without any distractions

What are you thankful for in the midst of your busy days?

I am so thankful for my God and the fact that me and my husband are reaching for higher goals all the time. I am so thankful that I have a family that loves our God and takes time for him daily.

Well, right now it's blazin' hot and even though I wish I could curl up in the fridge, I'm thankful that it's hot because everyone is sleepy and slow, not running frantic to get stuff done....so you can sit under the fan with a friend for a time, sleep in the afternoon with the kids, walk slowly and smile at people on the street. So I'm thankful for the heat.

Amazing that you got all of that from the simple task of ironing. Glad you had that time.
