Joys in a busy week

This week has been so busy.

I feel like each moment this week has kept me hopping. It doesn't help that Kris has been working insane hours, Thankfully, I made a hair appointment before I knew I could barely breath with all the busyness. Not to mention my van keys were missing. I was able to find my spare but all my other keys on my missing chains was causing much confusion and frustration.

Well, today I had a playdate with my cousin and her daughter. We were in the living room and chatting it up, when her sweet lil one starts playing in the toy basket in the living. All of a sudden, I hear a sound...my keys! I totally thought my 18 month old had something to do with this. I was rejoicing. I was thrilled. I have been teaching my kiddos to pray when we lose things so God can lead us to finding them. I couldn't just put them where they belonged and keep visiting like nothing happened. Right then and there, I celebrated by praying out loud rejoicing and thanking God about this find! And if this cousin wasn't over, when would I have ever gone through the toy box...

Hooray!

And have I ever mentionned that I love my neighbours? I love each of my neighbours! They make each day unique and memorable. And today was no exception. I asked my 14 year old neighbour to come over to babysit (there was no school today), and before I finished my question she said "of course!" What 14 year old would say no to making some money? So she come over and tells me to take my time. I go and run errands and hit many stores on my way! I get home. She meets me at the door. I hand her hard earned money and she says "no thanks!"

Pardon!

She continues. " I really love your kids. I enjoy coming over here. I can't take your money."

I am so proud of her. She is such an amazing girl. Her parents have raised her in a way that I strive to raise my own kids.

My heart was just at peace. First, I heard her say that she adores my kids. And she seriously, wanted to give me a break.
I thanked her for her kindness (though I did insist and did give her the money). She walks out of the house and says, "If you need me, I gladly help you out!"
I just love that girl!

She definitely is a good one!

Awesome answer to prayer - isn't that a wonderful teaching moment for kids?!

It sounds like we are having a similar week. I'm feeling the pressure of "snow" so am trying to get as much done as possible and there is still so much more to do. Have a great weekend (hopefully it isn't a busy one and you'll have time to relax and enjoy).
