I think I'd like a do over...

hmmm...today just wasn't my finest piece of work. Maybe I was coming off a really busy day yesterday or I just lacked motivation or perhaps I kept it low key as my youngest and counting were getting sick.

Maybe it was waiting all day for an important call, after leaving voice mail and email messages...and the call never came.

Maybe it was the dreariness in the weather with our first snow storm of the year blowing in...

Maybe watching my cousin's picture montage, first thing this morning, of her very recent trip to Ethiopia and bringing her baby home which made me crazy emotional...
Or knowing that Kris is pulling off a 18 hour work day today...

I listened to uplifting music, prayed, cuddled my kiddos, had a tea party this morning and a show party with popcorn this evening...not to mention, my kiddos were stunningly and amazing good. No one complained at supper and ate every last morsel, helped mommy tidy the house before the party, no fighting...and my son even played with my hair while I read stories to them. Now that's a treat!

It was a perfect day in so many ways...seeing it playing back in hind-sight.

Dear God, Help me to see the moments you give me and that everyday from you is a blessing. I truly have so much to be thankful for and knowing that You are with me...no matter what storm has come. Open my eyes to see Your love in everything around me...not just when I look for it.
Amen

(and now that my kiddos are sweetly sleeping, I get to work on my homework study for my Beth Moore weekend coming up...and since she's like a jolt of caffeine, I plan to laugh, cry and dig deeper into God's Word...bring it on!)

Get It on!!!!
I just read a chapter out of a Joice Meyer book about focusing on the postive instead of the negitive is so very healthy. We can actualy become physicaly sick from too much self pity.
So great to see going in the right direction with this.
You rock

Ah yes, days where things are dragging you down and then God places things to remind us to look up, not down. Hope you have a good weekend.

Low key days are needed! What kind of Beth Moore weekend? I get so much out of her teaching! Wow, 18 hour work day--what does your hubby do? I just realized these are more email questions...

Have fun with your Maker!
