Mommy's arms

...you know those arms.

When I'm tired or scared, please hold me arms.
When I'm hurt, holding me tight and kisses on my cheek arms.
When I just want to be near, close to your heart arms.
When I just want to cry for no reason at all arms.
When I've missed being with you, snuggle close arms.
When I've had a bad dream and need to feel safe arms.
When I'm sick, and you hold me before I rest arms.
When no-one-else-will-do arms...

This is all part of being a mother.
Holding, touching, nurturing.

It just made me think about the arms of love and care that I have for my lil ones.

And at times, when it just may not be convenient for me to hold my lil ones, they really do treasure time with me.

It makes me think about my Jesus and how often I run into His arms. That's what He wants me to do! He is able to make me feel so loved, secure, encouraged and forgiven. My hope and prayer is that I can be a small example of His arms through my arms to my precious kids.

So the next time I'm tired, I'm going to remember this post. How wonderful arms to nurture kids, to touch other's lives, to be Jesus. Your prayer is already being answered as you bless those around you, especially your kids.

oh i can identify my friend. lately, little eli just wants to be held. i put her down and she will let out the saddest most pathetic cry. it says, "how COULD you????"

so i carry her...on my back (baby carrier), in my arms....one arm, 2 arms....it gets a little creative sometimes.

sometimes i get tired and then i remember that she will not always want me to hold her..so i better enjoy it while i can. ;)
