I am driving to visit Kris at work this evening with my kids. It is getting to be dusk outside. The sky is all sorts of colours.
From the backseat, I hear...
girl says, "mommy, look at the sun."
mom says, "yeah, I see it" (debating whether she should pass a vehicle...kinda pre-occupied)
girl says, "but mommy it's so beautiful...and big" (using her arms to describe what she sees)
mom asks girl, "who made the sky?"
girl responds, "God did! He made the sky so big and...colourful! It's beautiful! God is very nice to do that."
mom replies, "God made the sky beautiful for us to enjoy. Did you know that God made people too? God thinks you are beautiful too...even more than the sky! He made the sky like a painting for us to enjoy!"
girl smiles, "He made it just for me!!" as she smiles and hugs herself.
Silence entered our van. I glanced over to look at the sky and quietly heard God say, "Andrea, I made it for you too!"

Great post....don't we all need that reminder to take the time to enjoy what God gives us!!
Oh I just love this....this is a fav saying of our family's too--when we see the beautiful scenes in the sky--we always say "Wow, can you believe God painted that for us today?" :) What an incredible God who didn't forget the little details of life that bring us such moments of happiness!
