My kids got a veggie tales praise and worship CD for Christmas. It plays continually either in the van or in the house. Yesterday, while my daughter was colouring her picture, she began singing these words.
I stopped what I was doing.
I listened.
In her sweet 3 year old voice I heard the words she sang:
How lovely is Your dwelling place,
O Lord Almighty,
For my soul longs and even faints for You,
For here, my heart is satsified within Your presence.
I sing beneath the shadow of Your wings
Better is one day in Your courts,
Better is one day in Your house,
Better is one day in Your courts,
than thousands elsewhere
One thing I ask and I would seek
To see Your beauty
To find You in the place Your glory dwells

I began to think of how awesome those words really were. Here again, in the midst of a messy kitchen and the hecticness of life, my daughter teaches me.
That's really hard to imagine...even on those really good days, one day in Heaven with Jesus is better than a thousand without Him...can you even imagine that?
I can't even fathom it!

(well, other than nusery-rhyme songs from books and school, etc.)
