Delicious Chocolate Syrup

I have discovered a delicious alternative to the store bought chocolate syrup to make chocolate milk with. Not only do I make this often, but my kids requests this in their lunches everyday!
It's super easy...
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do:

Chocolate Syrup
In a saucepan, boil 1/2 cup cocoa, 3/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 tsp salt and 3/4 cup water for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Place in an airtight container in the fridge. I put syrup into small glass canning jars. It makes about 1 1/4 cups.
I would add 1/2 -3/4 tbsp of syrup into a cup of cold milk, adding more or less depending on preference. It's yummy with hot milk too as kiddo and I found out when we sipped some to warm up on this crisp morning after her siblings left for school. Now that's a great way to start the day!

Hope you enjoy it as much as we have!
