Did you see that!?!

I have prayed.
Begged God for patience.
Today as I reflected during my prayer time, I asked God to change my perspective. To let me understand my 'angst' from a different angle. Having the desire and have the need for clarity and reassurance, He not only gave me a perspective that I have prayed for but a little hug for today.
Kinda reminded me of the plant that sits over my kitchen sink. I water it often but it doesn't seem to grow or do anything despite my efforts and green thumb. I have been frustrated with its lack of growth and blooming and finally accepted that it was winter, and blooms wouldn't come til spring if I continued watering it like I have. Grass has seasons, so do trees...so I assumed so did my Gerbera daisy.
But as I washed dishes at my sink, something caught my eye. I turned the plant around...there was a beautiful flower in bloom that must have opened in the past day. All the watering and attention did pay off, but I would have never noticed if I hadn't changed my angle. If the brillant red colour didn't catch my eye, I may have missed this opportunity to watch this flower grow!
I since have turned the plant around to fill my home with the bright red flower rather than it blooming to the windows.
Amazing.
Changing my angle changed what I saw. Allowing God to meet me where I am at and working in me, guiding me down life's path has showed me another reality. I may have never noticed the flower nor 'taken time to smell the roses' and see how He is working in my life.
His perspective is much more beautiful than mine, and life giving. He does make beautiful out of dull...I want to be living proof.

Wow, how God speaks to us in every day simple things. So glad that you had the reminder of how changing our perspectives lets us experience God's wonder. Sending much love and prayers.

Nice blog! I came through other blogs in your blog. Very nicely written. Very inspiring, you know! I enjoy being in other countries to read about God. (I hope the translation is good) Many blessings!

Another great analogy - changing our angle to see things from His perspective. Thanks.
