My sweet therapy

We all have something we do when things get tough. Sometimes I take hot baths. Sometimes I run. Sometimes I listen to very loud music and clean my house. Sometimes I bake. ...and was this ever a baking week! From buns, birthday cake, baked oatmeal, puffed wheat cake, cookies (X3), 3 loaves of cinny loaf... I made everything possible and right now my oven is preheating... I love the idea of putting ingredients like bland, crazy spicy, salty, goopy (like eggs) and sweet together in my mixer and watch it become a soft dough oven ready. Perhaps a little bit like life. Some parts of life are good, bad, busy, sweet, special and memorable and mixed together they make a neat way to see life. If everything in life was great, we wouldn't have anything to look forward to. Likewise, if life was only tough and challenging, it would be a struggle to put one foot above the other. God gave us good times to celebrate and tough times to hold on tight and the rest of the time, to understand His amazing love and communicate with our incredible Creator. He is there and molding us as the good and bad shape us and as we cling to Him and depend on Him for everything. Another beautiful way to cope for me is talking to my Father. The ultimate therapy.
