I have pondered how my life has changed since my miracles came into my life, since it is Mother's Day and all. Watching my mother raise me and all the time she poured into my life, I never realized how selfless she was. She is the most giving and hard working person I know and I could only dream of having her energy and strength, overcoming many odds. Having a sick husband, my mother had to be strong for her family and dealing with her sick baby(me) who was hospitalized much of her young life and 4 year old and a newborn only made her trust in God in an awe inspiring way. And now I'm a mom. ( my heart just skips a beat ...what a stressful yet amazing experience as I learn to depend on Him).
There are several things I have learnt on this journey.
My heart melts each time I hear "I love you"
Letting go doesn't get easier.
Shedding tears when my kids have another first is healing( I have being letting my kid walk to school with an older neighbour just this week...walking right out of my sight...)
Teaching by example speaks volumes to my kids.
Hugs, kisses and eye contact when they talk, make my kids feel so loved and supported.
Sleeping in is over rated in their eyes.
I can never pray enough for each of them.
When I'm done doing laundry, I'm actually not.
Sour milk smells really gross.
Doing a task myself is faster, easier but lonelier.
"M" is the first letter my kids know...thanks to McDonald's!
When you are prepared and organized, things can still fall apart, the supper can still burn, the soother can get lost between the house and the park,...
I can't make others love me, but my family absolutely adores me.
An impromtu family picture can be more stressful, frustrating...no matter have many treats are promised!
Happy Mother's Day!

Yes, being a Mom is tough -- but it's also the most rewarding thing.
Happy (belated) Mother's Day!
Thank you for the comment! I love your entry! Being a mom is such a blessed thing, though, isn't it?!

Thanks for the thoughts on what you've learned as a mother. It's good to know that this life we're living always has lessons for us. I hope that you had a great Mother's day. And I love the family picture! It looks just like mine!
Hope your Mother's Day was great girlie! I love family pictures.. they are very stressful though! Yours is great!
I've gotta say, your post has inspired me to compile my own list of what I've learned since I've become a mother! Thank you!
You're right, sleeping is WAY over-rated in their eyes and you can never pray enough for these sweet, little disciples that follow us around during the day!
Hope you're having a great week so far!
That's a great family picture Andrea! Also thank you for sharing. This journey of Motherhood has just begun for me, and reading your post makes me look so forward to the future and what God has in store for me and my family!
