These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things...

As I have been learning to listen to God and His will for my life, I have been able to enjoy precious times with my family. Isn't it pretty neat that the simpliest and most spontaneous moments, are the best memory builders for a family? It's not the money or how big the party is. It's the time and love that you can spend together that make the memories pour into their minds. Like this week, we have been able to make s'mores by the firepit, plant our garden and all our 'pretty' flowers, do yard work together, go to the park just because, read and read and read our new library stories, folding laundry( crazy, I know...you can make a game about anything ...), watering our sandbox ( our lil girl still thinks it may grow), have impromtu guests just walking by and coming to play...and it goes on and on. I, this week, have been able to just see life in the eyes of my child. I see joy the their eyes. They are happy and content and feel safe. Not only life in their eyes, I have been really loving spending time with my dear husband. Life is so much better since he is in it. I have felt so loved and adored by him and since I have had to work things out with God this past while, it's like God has taken the filters off my eyes, and I just feel that He has BLESSED me abundantly and He is in control.

It's so wonderful that the impromptu family moments bring you so much joy. You are right, no amount of money brings that kind of happiness. And the smores sound wonderful....mind if we come and join you sometime?

That sounds so nice. It is so awesome to just be able to sit and enjoy the little things, and realize how big of a blessing those little things really are.
It was so nice to meet you in person as well!
