I made a really delicious dessert this past weekend. The occasion was it was my turn to bring dessert to my parents' house. I was thinking Toblerone, cream cheese and caramel. I was inspired by a wonderful website http://www.kraft.ca/ but I did make it my own way.
1 1/4 cup Oreo crumbs (I used graham crumbs and some cocoa as I was out of Oreo crumbs)
1/4 cup butter melted
Mix and press into a 9" spring form pan.
Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
In a mixer, add:
3 bricks cream cheese (I use low-fat)
1 cup or more of whipping cream
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3-4 generous squirts of chocolate syrup (the kind for choc.milk)
*Blend for about 5 minutes, stirring sides of bowl occasionally.
*Add Toblerone pieces before the final mix.
*Spread over the chilled crust.
*Place in fridge...I made this 2 days before serving.
Topping:
1-2 cups Toblerone pieces, chopped roughly
1/3 cup Caramel sauce for ice cream
*Plate each piece, sprinkle with chocolate pieces and decorate the plate with caramel sauce...
It's really too good to be true!

Andrea!!! What have I told you about throwing stuff away??? For shame! Looks great!
That looks very dangerous indeed!
I always hear you talk of this toblerone cheesecake...but never have actually tasted it. As for me making it myself -- yes, FAR TOO DANGEROUS is right!! I think I should really pass...
Yum, yum, yum... As for throwing it in the garbage... It'll go to "waste" or to "waist"!! Good job!
