In the midst of temptation

I watch my kids play in their candy. They sit and sort, trade and count. The rule is one treat after lunch and supper. They know this rule. They haven't even considered eating one while they play with it, all they think is which one will they pick to eat next? This is hours of enjoyment at our house, planning, sharing, trading, discovering...
That where their mommy is different. There is no way I could play in the midst of my weakness!
I think...er, I mean, I know that this mommy needs some strict rules too. I couldn't do what they do. But thankfully, I've got prayer on my side!

No kidding, hey? My kids do the same thing...often just looking through their 'stash' but not eating it because they know they're not supposed to. Good examples for ME that's for sure...as I am far too quick to unwrap one or two...or three of my treats while 'just looking'.
