God's goodness...something worth celebrating!

A few months ago, a sweet lil boy moved next door. Within hours of living in his new place, he was maliciously attacked by two vicious dogs. He spent the next 6 weeks at a Children's Hospital trying to save his arms. My husband helped him while emergency crews were on their way, and was shocked and overwhelmed by the 7 year old's lack of arms. We, as a community, have come behind the family to pray for this young boy's healing. It was hard coping with a lil boy, my son's age, in the hospital because of dogs I have feared for some time.

But that's not where the story ends. God has been healing this boy. Within his first week of the attack, he had had 6 surgeries to save his arms. The doctors had never seen arms in need of restoration, like his, before. I do believe that things happen for a reason, and God allowed this to happen. As we have gotten to know this family better, pray for them and befriend them, we have been so amazed!

This lil boy, who came to the hospital 8 weeks ago, had the possibility of losing his arms and was told he probably wouldn't be home for Christmas.

Kris called me outside after lunch. I came out with just a small sweater... and this lil boy was standing outside so excited to be home. I ran up and hugged him and greeted his sweet siblings and loving father.

God is so powerful. This situation 8 weeks ago seemed hopeless and now, this lil boy is home and rejoicing with hope (he has many surgeries ahead of him still but we know that God is in control). Now that's something to celebrate!!!
