Daddies are one amazing group of guys. I have great respect to those single parents that are raising their kids. Parenting is super tough and having my kids' daddy choosing an active role in their life doesn't go unnoticed...though I don't thank him enough.I have been fighting some odd illness lately. With no warning, tummy aches, dizziness and nauseousness have been really making life a struggle. But these past few weeks I have discovered and have been reminding how amazing daddies are.
Daddies have the ability to...
* making any mundane time fun whether it's eating supper or doing chores
* change the atmosphere from sadness to joy in 3 seconds flat
* the ability to sing made up silly songs, be goofy yet not doubt his manly-ness
* be a human jungle gym with 3 monkeys swinging from him
* make mismatched clothes look acceptable in public
* tune out the noise yet step in at the right time
* make attempting to cook a meal an adventure that the whole family wants in on
* say what he means and kiddos listen the first time
* put his desire to watch the big race or game of NFL, NHL, golf, tennis... so that the kiddos can watch their favorite show for the 100th time
* use his strength to show off his muscles yet wipe the most delicate tears
* have the kids tired out and sleeping in bed before their bedtime and manage to have them sleep-in in the morning
* support his family and gift his wages to the family's needs...not his wants
* give mommy a healthy perspective when she gets too way emotional or overwhelmed in her role
* do only one task at a time...and not feel guilty not being everywhere at once
* teach his little boy to be a man and show his little girls how they deserved to be treated
So here I am, feeling overwhelmingly blessed!
What did I forget?

I think bragging on your husband publicly is awesome. Can never do it too much :)
Daddies do get forgotten. We forget that they are part of raisning our children and they make a huge difference too.
