I lost a watermelon!!!

I don't buy watermelon for three reasons:

1. my fridge hasn't been working properly this past year and everything seems to freeze in it.
2. they are too bulky for my shopping cart...there's no room for a watermelon plus two kids plus groceries...just doesn't work.
3. my daughter seems to get very itchy so rather than eating it in front of her...I just decide not to buy it.

I guess things are changing around here! My fridge is fixed as of last week. My kids were at their grandparents for a sleepover (thus room in my cart!) and so I could enjoy this yummy fruit without eyes watching me.

I pick the perfect fruit at the store! It's pretty big. I reach into the massive box to pick it up...and it's heavy. Really heavy! I've been working out lots lately so I tell myself to try again. With more force, that melon budges and ever so gently, I try to place the hunk of fruit into the cart. Funny, I say to myself, "I've worked up a sweat carrying a watermelon."

I take this fruit home and decide to wait til hubby comes home to put it in the fridge. It's too heavy to try to lug around the house...until I realize...

I've lost the amount of this watermelon since the New Year!

I pick up this fruit and giggle. I never thought losing a watermelon would be so...drastic yet so gradual to point of not even noticing!
