Like on Valentine's Day!
I call Kris at work and ask him to come home at 5pm ...and not a moment later!
He comes home, we leave our kiddos with our fabulous babysitter and head to the city. We park at a strip mall and get out ...only to meet our dear friends coming out of their vehicle at the same time. Talk about perfect timing!
After we tell the guys we are glo-bowling, they notice that they have no white on them! This is when the team shirts come out! Matching shirts for each couple...very sweet for the occasion!
We laughed and cheered until our sides ached. It was so much fun! And the element of surprise just made it even better!
We take off our shoes and the guys receive a few envelopes and leave to find their clues of where to meet us for supper. At this point, we race to the restaurant and put our names on the list. The scavenger hunt not only helped them find the restaurant but made their time waiting much less! They walk up after about an hour and we are seated shortly after their arrival.
We had so much fun! The laughter, the reminiscing, the wine brought from friends sitting in the lounge...the perfect evening!
The element of surprise, the fun double dating, a beautiful restaurant and the love in the air just made this date one of my all-time favorites! Not to mention, this man that I am so in love with!

these date nights take EFFORT and sometimes i lose sight of the reward because of laziness, tiredness...whatever....but yet, when you put the effort (as little or much as it may be) the REWARDS ARE AMAZING!!!!!
we just had a date night last wednesday and wow --- probably my favorite date night yet.
God bless your marriage....God bless you! xo
Sounds like you had agreat night! You need to share more ideas with me! I'm not so great at surprises.
my fav date was calling his boss asking for the Friday afternoon off. I called him at work and asked him to walk to the front door with his jacket! he did. i was there with the car packed. we started driving south...2 hours later, we were hot tubbing and in a nice hotel. we decide on a later supper only to have his 3 friends and wives there waiting for us to join them! he was so shocked! i loved that day so much! some friends stayed the night...it was so much fun! and the effort it took for all to come out made it so special! that was to celebrate one of his grads (CMA?).
That sounds like a blast!!
Way to go!

You know...I don't think I have ever done any sort of surprise date or party for my hubby. That's actually pretty pathetic!!
