scene: Mommy and kids are organizing some cupboards.
Boy: "Mommy, what is this?"
Mommy: "It's a Walk-man."
Boy: " What does it do?"
Mommy: " You can listen to tapes with headphones."
Boy: "You can what...? What are tapes?"
Mommy: "It's like the mp3 player."
Boy: "Cool. Can I try it?"
Mommy *sighs*: " Just for your info...it used to be VERY COOL!"

I remember borrowing my friends walkman for our grade 8 band trip and having Petra's Beyond Belief tape. I felt like I was the COOLEST kid on the bus.

You still have a walkman?! Wow! I'm impressed. I had a portable CD player that you can run with and my daughter asked, "Mommy, why would you want that if you can get your music on your iPod from the laptop?"
They have NO idea what it used to be like. lol
