Has This Ever Happened To You?

A friend of mine is having a baby this next month and I offered her some of my baby stuff, like the swing and baby monitor. I just threw in a mini load to wash the swing cover, etc and a minimal amount of soap ( two fold, i'm cheap and my kids have skin issues so I don't throw lots of soap in my laundry by habit). I, for some reason, checked the load half way through and realize that it is flooding over with bubbles. What on earth! That has never happened before. So here I am, using ice cream pails and containers to scoop this massive amount of baby smelling, fluffy whiteness. I, not overwhelmed with life today, thought this was hilarious! This is what happens in cartoons...not in real life...or does it?

My little girl is colouring at the table as I am typing my laundry story and speaks up to ask if she can pway. "of course, you can ,honey!" I reply, surprised by her comment.
"oh, Dear God! I thank you for my Mommy's birthday. Amen!" she says. I just am silent, in awe of this little one who is learning to think beyond herself. Then she pipes up in a very demanding voice" now say thank you cuz I just pwayed for you!"
( we are on our way...but a long way to go!)

Happy birthday! Oh, and I love it when little 2 year old girls pray for their mamas!

That's pretty funny because I had a similar experience with my front loader....oh what a day that was. And what a heart warmer that Amanda prayed for you. Very special!

Ah, kids. They say the funniest (and sweetest) things.

That is so sweet! The last time Anika asked to pray by herself she prayed for Jesus. It was pretty funny!

Oh my goodness Andrea, that is adorable!! The innocence and unquestioning faith in children is just unbelievable to me!
