Feeling like the roadrunner

Do you ever feel like you are spinning in circles? Working so hard to get to an outcome but you never get there. I feel like that's where I am at right now...actually most of my life. Let me explain...
I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I have a low metabolic rate which basically means I can eat small amounts, rarely feel hungry and I can work out like crazy just to maintain the weight I'm at and the rest, well...I've inherited this ability to look at food and gain.
But it's so exhausting. I'm so weary running every day, pushing myself so hard to get closer to my goal, only to have disappointment greet me. I know that I've have lost weight over these past 3 years. So in the big picture, I've lost 45 pounds. SLOOOWWWW and steady. Looking back at older pictures of me, I know a loss has happened. I would like to lose 10 more pounds. I'm just not sure how that can be done. I am typically power walking or running between 40-50 kms a week. I do several muscle workouts each week and have started doing an intense ab workout every second day. I drink as much water as I possible can and I try to eat only fruits and veggies for snacks, no sugar in my oatmeal, trying to savour one helping of food and I allow desserts twice a week.
Now reading that, seems like it's guaranteed for a loss. But no loss comes.
I am frustrated. I so want to quit but I know that quitting means a gain and squishy feeling that I loathe.
I know that God has made me in His image. I just never thought that trying to get healthier would be so tough. I don't regret doing what I'm doing...I just want positive results in my clothes, scale and a healthy way of thinking/doing.
That's my rant for today. If you have tips you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them.

If you are taking all of these steps to be healthy and not losing weight, then you are healthy! I don't think you need to be concerned too much about your BMI if you're as active and conscientious about your food intake as you are. I would say to keep doing what you're doing and not worry! If you are very concerned, you could always schedule an appointment with your doctor. :)

If you're doing all that consistently my friend, then you are totally healthy! That is a ton of exercise. The walking/running alone must take 4 - 5 hrs per week, nevermind all the rest of it. I know it's easy for me to say not to worry about the weight, but you can hardly increase what you're already doing exercise-wise without something else suffering as a result.

As far as tips - have you been logging what you've been eating and what exercise you've been doing? It's possible you're exercising less and eating more than you think? Maybe not, but I know I sometimes tend to underestimate in the eating department especially.

You sound pretty healthy to me! I have no advice, other than to suggest going to a nutritionist or naturopath to see if there are certain types of foods/supplements etc that could help your metabolism. I can imagine it's frustrating for you - I am frustrated FOR you!!

Weight is a frustrating battle!!

I can relate!!

I am doing the Made to Crave 21 day challenge (it's free just sign up from their website madetocrave.org I believe).

I am ready to not only change my weight but also the way that I look at it and think about it as well!!

Praying for you on your journey!! It is tough and frustrating but you are doing a good job!! It is hard to be that consistent so that is a huge victory in my eyes!! a
