The Ultimate Country song

I am so happy that Kris and I were able to get away! It was amazing...truly felt wonderful! We had so much laughter, hand holding and the ability to be in a relationship without children distractions (well, our own anyway!). I highly recommend getting away with your spouse, whether that means bringing kids to grandma's for the weekend (and turning off that blasted Blackberry) or leaving on an travelling adventure...it is so worth it.

We have so many things to be thankful for...I love the man I married. It was so good to reflect and connect as this winter has been extremely busy for our family.

But we also came home to reality, drama and trauma, I have never felt so at a loss for words before. It feels surreal. Like a bad country song...

We are fine. So many we love aren't tho...from sickness to poor choices to pain and regret.

God is faithful. We are human...and thankfully, God loves us thru our weakness. He collects each tear we cry, hears each time we cry out asking 'why', and when we cannot take another step, He picks us up and carries us.

Like all country songs, they have an end...and this reality has an end too.

What makes this song different tho is I have hope, faith and can lean on Him and not on my own strength!

So glad that you had the opportunity to go away together. Sigh...but sorry that you had to come home to a harsh reality. But you are right, God gives us hope and in that we can have peace.

Praying for you.
