Each day brings new mercies and discoveries...

This sabbatical from reality, as known as a vac-ay away, has been so nice, so needed and very welcomed right now. I am thoroughly enjoying living, reflecting and discovering...
1. As I sit in a nap-filled condo overlooking the 13th green whilst hubby is hitting his sticks...it is so peaceful. A treasured rest for all of us.
2. seeing God's landscape is absolutely breath-taking...literally. These hills are massive and steep...but this makes the morning runs more mind clearing, scenic and more prayer filled to reach the summits.
3. my kids are rock stars...travelling for 18 hours with delightful well-behaved kids makes the past 364 days of intentional parenting so worth it!
4. fevers come and fevers go...we are so thankful for Tylenol we packed last minute.
5. experiencing a "Christian" community...I have never seen so many Bible verses on t-shirts and God talk ever...much less at a theme park.
6. Geckos....another amazing creature our children are smitten by! They have since woken up and are gecko hunting!
7. I married an unbelievable hubby. I knew that before this trip...but I've caught myself pinching myself on numerous occasions this week. Thank you Jesus for this gift!!!
8. our oldest daughter learnt how to swim this morning...and her momma is learning too!
9. when it's hot, it's really hot!!! Frozen lemonade, air-conditioning, swimming pools and ceiling fans are our friends!
10. I have begun reading some challenging and inspiring books. I know that God loves me. In my brokeness lately, I am realizing I am stronger then I thought I was...but only because of Him and and not on my own strength!

Blessings as you discover your blessings!

Like the ceramic hot plate on my table says, "Grateful not only for the gifts we've been blessed with but those that cannot be measured."

Amen!!!
