I can't believe that I haven't blogged in almost a month. I definitely have missed writing but it's been so nice to enjoy the days and evenings with friends and family...tho the weather hasn't been ideal.
I feel like June has been really busy...everything is winding down for summer (X5 family members just feels a lil crazy...all good, but crazy all the same).
I have been running again. Getting a lil frustrated not being able lose the extra weight I'm carrying around but I know that I'm healthier than I have ever been...and as soon as I can pry off this excess I'll be excited...tho I have motivation, I seem to struggle with moderation.
This post feels disjointed but I do want to share two miracles that God blessed our family with.
1. Several weeks ago, I was folding laundry before my son left for school. As I was getting him ready for the bus and ready for my girls and I to run errands, I starting smelling smoke in my house. After assessing the smell, I figured that it was coming from my family room. My son's bus is coming is 5 minutes and I'm starting to panic. I picked up my computer from the floor only to notice flames coming from it. If this had been 5 minutes later, I would have left the house for several hours...only to come home to flames. Thankfully, we had just saved everything two days before...and God protected us! A house is just a house...but having been spared from that extra stress and heartache is a true blessing.
2. We were at the cabin with my hubby's family last weekend. Hubby and my son are getting into fishing. As we were on the deck, my son threw his line into the water, only to have the hook land into my daughter's eyebrow on the other side of the dock...any closer and her eye would have been pierced. Another way God has protected us. My son was terrified of fishing and what happened because of his actions, but I told him to remember that we prayed for safety while we were at the cabin. My daughter's wound was smaller than a freckle (...tho it went in and out of her skin like a sewing needle...a couple inches long).
It has made me think though of all the times, God has protected our family, that we were not aware of. We do have so much to be thankful for!

Wow, both of those stories are a little unsettling! I'm so glad God answered your prayers for safety, before you even knew exactly how that safety would be needed!
And your laptop just started on fire? Weird (and scary)! I'm glad you noticed when you did!
I'm glad that you have enjoyed time with friends and family (although I have missed you here!).
Wow! God is so good! Thank you for sharing those two stories of how God protected you.
oh my goodness Andrea! what a blessing (times 2!) that nothing more serious happened with either the fishing accident or the fire!!
