This afternoon while I was making piggies in a blanket and the rest of the family was napping, my oldest kiddo was dressing up for trick or treating and walking aimlessly around the house. I suggested reading for his class' reading program while he waited for the clock to move closer to departure. He has been reading through a children's Bible that is at his level of reading.
As he opened the Bible and began reading about Moses in the Basket, he stopped to remind me that Miriam could have been his age and not only that, but the Nile River was filled with Crocs. We talked about how terrifying that experience could have been like.
I suggested that Miriam must have been quite scared watching over her baby brother alone by the dangerous river.
"But mom", said my boy well beyond his years,"you can do that when you have faith."
